Lets Talk About Protein!
Updated: Mar 26
Let's discuss protein. Protein plays a crucial role in our diets. To prevent constant hunger and promote muscle growth, it's essential to consume protein.
As a person who follows a 100% plant-based diet, I've made some changes to boost my protein intake. I've switched from wheat bread to Ezekiel bread, which typically has fewer calories and more protein.
I also replaced wheat pasta with lentil and edamame pasta. Just four ounces of edamame pasta provides about 42 grams of protein. Consuming plenty of leafy green vegetables like broccoli, beans, such as black-eyed peas, black beans, and lentils can also increase your protein intake.
On a plant-based diet, you don't need to worry about consuming too much plant-based protein, so enjoy it. Increased protein intake can help curb your hunger and aid muscle growth, allowing you to consume fewer calories while still building muscle Proper protein intake allowed my spouse to lose 55 pounds! (Our preferred protein powder for those days you can't get it in your meals.)
